Iran Arrests Over 700 in Crackdown on Alleged Israeli Spies

Iranian authorities have launched a sweeping crackdown on individuals accused of spying for Israel, with over 700 arrests reported across the country, according to state media.

The campaign has also included the execution of a third alleged Mossad agent within a week, signaling a sharp escalation in Iran’s efforts to counter what it describes as foreign espionage threats.

In a statement to local media, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to its nuclear program, asserting that the country would not yield to external pressure. “Iran will not abandon its nuclear technology. We have worked tirelessly to achieve this progress. A war was imposed on us in the name of nuclear weapons, and our scientists have made significant sacrifices in pursuit of this technology,” he said.

These developments come amid growing regional tensions, following recent U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. Despite the strikes, Iranian sources report that the targeted sites remain intact.
