Trump Played Key Role in Ceasefire, Served Humanity: Mohsin Naqvi

ISLAMABAD (RNN TV) — Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday credited U.S. President Donald Trump for mediating the recent ceasefire between Pakistan and India, calling it a major service to humanity.

Naqvi made the remarks during a meeting with Acting U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan, Natalie Baker, where both sides discussed bilateral relations, regional peace, and post-ceasefire developments.

“The credit for the ceasefire between two nuclear powers goes to President Donald Trump,” Naqvi stated, praising the U.S. role in defusing tensions. He also welcomed Trump’s positive comments on Pakistan’s leadership and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with the U.S.

Ambassador Baker echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the U.S.’s desire to continue cooperation with Pakistan across various sectors.

Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Agha also attended the meeting.

Earlier this week, President Trump had publicly claimed his administration played a key role in preventing a potential “nuclear conflict” between India and Pakistan by brokering a ceasefire.
